Hello I'm Remy, "Tightwad supreme" and author of MSI (Money Saving Ideas). I'm the cute one in the middle, between my mom and dad.

...just kidding!

Actually I'm the one with the goatee. Pictured with me are my wife Natalie and our little girl, Haley.

I created MSI because it allowed me to combine two of my greatest interests - personal finance & building web sites. Okay, so I never said I was much fun at parties.

The primary goal of MSI is to help regular people find answers to their questions about personal finances. You finding me is a sure sign that I'm getting my message out to the right people.

By now, you're probably wondering what makes me an expert in personal finance. Well, I'm not an expert, I don't even work in the financial services industry. Truth be told I work in IT (Information Technology)...

...But what I do have is experience...and through my experience I can show you not only how to save more of your hard-earned money but also how to avoid the some of the financial pitfalls I've run into along the way.

I've been where you are now, living paycheck-to-paycheck, mired in debt and on the brink of bankruptcy. I understand what it's like to be totally consumed by debt and other financial problems. I also know how financial stress can tear families apart.

I'm proud to say...we are now 100% debt free with money in the bank! It took some commitment and discipline on our part but we managed to pay off all our debt in a little over two years.

...And that's exactly the kind of first-hand knowledge I hope to pass on to you...how we got into financial trouble but more importantly how we finally got out of it.

Remember, Budgeting is not about living within your means it's about living well within your means.
