The Book
Before reading Start Late, Finish Rich
I doubted the effectiveness and feasability of David Bach's methods for becoming financially secure. Since I'd been hearing so much about his Finish Rich series and had seen him on television several times, I thought I'd see for myself what all the hype was about. It was only after reading the book and implementing some of his suggestions that I realized just how wrong I was to doubt him.
In Start Late, Finish Rich you will learn as I did how with just a few painless changes in your daily routine can unleash your true wealth building potential. David calls these changes your Latte Factor and Double Latte Factor.
The Latte Factor
In David's Finish rich series he shows you how cutting out non-essential expenses can help make you rich. He calls it the Latte Factor. Latte refers to the daily coffee you buy every morning on your way to work - but it doesn't have to be coffee, it could be anything you could easily cut out of your life and not really miss.
He goes on to explain that if you calculate that your Latte Factor = $10/day and you were to invest that money - YOU WILL FINISH RICH. No matter what age you start at - its never too late!
Obviously, I don't agree with absolutely everything Bach writes about but there is some solid advice in this book that anyone serious about finishing rich can use to make that a reality.
The Double Latte Factor
Expanding further on the Latte Factor, the Double Latte Factor helps you uncover ways of putting your wealth building plan into hyperdrive. This point is especially important if you haven't sarted saving for retirement or have gotten a late start, like after the age of 40.
Summary
Start Late, Finish Rich is the perfect book for anyone looking to put their neglected retirement plan straight into high-gear. David will show you that it's never too late to finish rich. This book is fun to read and has rock-solid advice in every chapter.
